Written for Michigan families
Guides are written in plain language for adult children and older adults in Michigan. When a rule is different here than in other states, the guide says so.
Official sources first
Each guide links to the official sources it relies on, such as michigan.gov, medicare.gov, ssa.gov, and va.gov. Dollar amounts and limits come from those sources or from named surveys, with the year shown.
Review dates
Every guide shows a "Last reviewed" date. Guides about Medicare and Medicaid are reviewed at least once a year, after the new limits come out. Every directory listing shows the date it was last verified.
Sponsors don't shape the guides
Sponsors and affiliate partners don't review or approve content. Paid listings are labeled Featured, and affiliate links are marked. See how we make money.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, tell us. We check every report and update the page and its review date when we make a fix.
