Silver Mitten is free to use. Here is every way it earns money, and how each one is labeled.
Featured directory listings
Some businesses pay to appear as a Featured listing in the local directory. Featured listings always carry a redFeatured label and appear at the top of the list. Their website links are marked as sponsored.
Senior-living referrals
If you ask for help finding assisted living or memory care, we may pass your details to a placement partner, only with your permission. The partner may pay Silver Mitten when a family moves in. You never pay for this, and the price you pay the community doesn't change.
Affiliate links
Product pages, like medical alerts and grab bars, may include affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission. These links are tagged rel="sponsored nofollow" for search engines, and each one has a short disclosure right next to it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell Medicare plans or collect your information for insurance companies. Federal rules for Medicare marketing are strict, and we'd rather send you to free, unbiased help from MMAP.
- We don't sell your email address.
- We don't let partners review or change our guides.
The newsletter
The Michigan Caregiver newsletter is free. If an issue ever includes a sponsor, it will be labeled as one.
